Easygoing but dedicated small team of folks that make it their business to help people find work in arts. <BR><BR>Duties: <BR>Surf, sort, and post jobs, opportunities, and industry resources in arts and entertainment for Northern California.<BR>Post notices about SFEntertainmentJobs.com on news and discussion groups.<BR>Basic customer service for inquiries and members by email.<BR>Friendly outreach to arts organizations and employers.<BR><BR>Skills:<BR>Fast worker.<BR>Research and categorize content<BR>Web surfing and email.<BR>Cut and paste, right click and keys.<BR>Knowledge of arts and entertainment industry (know what TD, SM, DP, ASM, AD, PM, 2nd AD, 1st AD, PA, etc. mean and what job and industry categories they go in)<!
BR>Know the difference between an advertising job and an arts gig, a paid gig, a volunteer gig, a scam, a workshop, and a non paid gig that is a great opportunity.<BR>Writing skills are a plus to write useful articles about the industry, but not mandatory.<BR><BR>Requirements:<BR>Windows at home with high speed internet access.<BR>Preferred programs, Microsoft Front Page, Netscape and (it's a formatting thing)<BR>Reliable: able to meet publishing deadlines like a clock.<BR>Customer service (make people feel good and solve their problems no matter what)<BR>Commitment (No running off to festivals or whatever when you feel like it.)<BR>Must live in SF Bay Area and have worked in at least one Bay Area arts industry. <BR>Administration and marketing experience preferred.<BR>Must like doing research. <BR>Must love the arts industry.<BR>Able to get the job done without supervision.<BR>Able to follow instructions.<BR><BR>Training:<BR>There will be an initial 10 hour training!
and test period at the home office in the upper Haight; which is paid at $6 per hour.
