Are you an organizational mastermind with research skills and an eye for
detail?=20
Do you want hands-on experience working at the heart of the Bay Area=92s
thriving theatre scene?=20

If your answer to all these questions is a resounding =93YES!,=94 then
Theatre Bay Area (www.theatrebayarea.org) is looking for you. We need
emerging theatre professionals to intern in the three following areas:
annual publications, Callboard magazine and executive assistance.
Descriptions of the three different opportunities are below.=20

1) Annual Publications Intern
As a publications intern, you will help us compile some of our most
sought after annual trade publications. You=92ll be right in the middle =
of
all the action, making phonecalls to managers and directors of the Bay
Area=92s top theatre companies and learning about format and design from
the staff of Callboard magazine.=20

2) Callboard Magazine Intern
Duties will include compiling the audition, job and playwrights
opportunities listings, as well as entering production listings on
Theatre Bay Area=92s Web site. May include other writing opportunities =
for
the right person. This is a good position for someone who is already
familiar with the local theatre community and has strong PC, Microsoft
and Web skills.

3) Executive Assistance Intern
In this position, you=92ll work one on one with our new executive =
director
supporting TBA=92s Board development, fundraising, and strategic =
planning.
This will be a great learning opportunity for someone starting a career
in the world of arts administration.

All three interns will also get to attend our Annual Theatre Company
Meeting and Reception, a full-day event with discussions on the issues
facing local theatre professionals and keynote speakers ranging from
ACT=92s Carey Perloff to the San Francisco mayoral candidates.=20

Applicants should have a strong desire to learn about the Bay Area
theatre community, outstanding organizational and research abilities, a
great telephone demeanor and proven word processing and computer skills.
These internships will be for 15-20 hours per week for approximately
three months. (Time frame could be extended for up to a year depending
on applicant interest.) Stipend to be determined.
