The producers of "Train Stories" wish to offer members
of bayareatheatrebums and their guests free tix to the
first two performances of this solo show.
WHAT "TRAIN STORIES" IS ABOUT: At the top of “Train
Stories” Wayne Harris’ newest solo play, John Henry,
the proud dining room porter in this riveting tale of
life in post W.W.II America, reminds us that “dying
ain’t important, everybody does that. What matters is
how do you do you living!” Then he and two coworkers:
Elder who has spent nearly three decades on a work
crew responsible for straightening the tracks and
Tyrone who marshals a corral of easy women in towns
across the South, spin their own versions of the same
harrowing story. Harris teams up with award winning
director David Ford to present a vital story that
expertly captures the harsh realities and lush beauty
of life in America at the edge of the civil rights
era.
