After just 5 days since our original notice, we are now down to 2 openings in
our weekend class being guest taught by John Levey, CSA scheduled for July
19th and 20th. To let his career speak for itself, John is currently casting
two of Television's most popular series', "ER" and "Third Watch". In my
original e-mail I mistakenly listed John as currently casting "The West Wing". John
did, however, previously cast "The West Wing" as well as "Presidio Med". John
is truly one of the LA casting industry's heavyweights and is well versed in
how the business works. He will be bringing this wealth of knowledge with him
up to the Bay Area to share with actors. As I said, this class now has 2
spots available in it! Actors waiting for John to come up are not sitting idly
for a chance to learn from one of the industry's best.
During the weekend, John will be teaching and lecturing on a variety of
topics including his own industry perspective, things that stand out and really
make a good audition great, demystifying the process, ways to market yourself in
the industry and what goals to shoot for, ways to strengthen your professional
relationships within the industry, differences in casting procedure from
project to project, office etiquette, open question and answer, as well as working
on scene and audition technique, cold reading, and talking about head-shots
and resumes for the actors attending. In the past, the classes that we've had
taught by casting directors and industry exec's have been tremendous
opportunities for actors to get unique opinions and perspectives on how actors can
improve all the aspects of the acting industry. It has also presented actors with
an incredible forum to receive feedback from the best about their acting
craft.
Don't be one to miss out on this rare opportunity. Contact us now to find
out more information about signing up for this class!

* This is not a job interview or audition. The presence of a casting director
is neither a guarantee nor a promise of employment. The intent of the class
is solely educational. Attending a Workshop is not a way to obtain employment
as an actor. Such contact as you may have with a casting director at a workshop
rarely results in any further contact with that casting director or any
company affiliated with that casting director.
