Actors' Salon: Musical Theatre Audition Workshop

Our regular audition workshop is back! Musicals are more popular than =
ever.
Come with your musical theatre audition of no more than two minutes and =
get
feedback from our special guest, Dianna Shuster, the former artistic
director of the American Musical Theater of San Jose and currently an
independent director. Accompaniment by Diana Torres-Koss. Location:
TheatreWorks Rehearsal Space, 1940 Colony, Mountain View. Registration
starts: June 1. To register: Call Theatre Bay Area at (415) 430-1140. =
Cost:
To participate: $35 members/$45 nonmembers. To observe: $15 members/$$25

Performing and Producing a Solo Show

Charlie Varon did it. So did Josh Kornbluth and Marga Gomez. Each of =
these
nationally recognized solo performers launched their careers in San
Francisco. Please join Bruce Pachtman for a workshop/discussion on
performing and producing solo shows. Find out which teachers are =
available
to help put a solo show together, theatres that will help develop work,
spaces that are most appropriate for a run, attracting an audience, =
finding
designers and tech people, the cost and, of course, if money can be made
putting on a solo show. Pachtman's solo show don't make me look too
psychotic ran for 68 weeks in San Francisco (and another 16 weeks in
Philadelphia). Not only was this Pachtman's first show but he produced =
it as
well. Location: The Flood Building, 870 Market Street, #838, San =
Francisco.
