Richard Hicks, currently casting the new Richard Gere feature, "Shall We
Dance" is coming up to San Francisco on June 21st and 22nd to teach our next
weekend class! It has become something of a monthly tradition to bring up one of
the industries leading casting directors/executives and I'm proud to say that
the tradition is still going strong.
With the past guests that we've been fortunate enough to have up here, we
continually find it harder to raise the bar for ourselves. Fortunately and
perhaps even miraculously, it seems to keep happening. Richard has been nominated
for the Artios Award for casting various projects each of the past 3 years!
He is definitely another HUGE notch on the belt of what we've been able to
provide as a unique learning opportunity for Bay Area actors.
Richard also has the credit of casting the recent critically acclaimed
features "A Mighty Wind" and "Igby Goes Down". With movies such as these, working
with such talented actors, it is undeniable what Richard brings to the table.
A complete feel for what it takes to cast projects of the highest caliber and
a top knowledge of the industry he works so well in. This experience is sure
to be nothing short of that. This is surely an opportunity to learn from one
of the industries leading casting directors.
Once again comes the warning. There a number of actors who have already
gotten the jump on this class and have made their reservations. Spots are already
in short supply and with the letter going out and the type of guest we're
bringing in, this class will surely fill up faster than you would expect. If you
are interested in taking this class, I urge you to write or call in now for
details on signing up.

* This is not a job interview or audition. The presence of a casting director
is neither a guarantee nor a promise of employment. The intent of the class
is solely educational. Attending a Workshop is not a way to obtain employment
as an actor. Such contact as you may have with a casting director at a workshop
rarely results in any further contact with that casting director or any
company affiliated with that casting director.
