Actors Salon/General Audition Brush-Up

The General Auditions are just around the corner! The following four
brush-ups allow you to work an audition piece and get feedback that will
help you on all of your upcoming auditions. Come with an audition piece
of up to two minutes if you are non-Equity, three minutes for Equity. To
register: Call Theatre Bay Area at (415) 430-1140, x10. Suggested
experience levels to participate: Previous audition experience.
Suggested experience levels to observe: All levels welcome. 

Monday, December 1, 7-9PM

South Bay Brush-Up (Monologues and Musical Auditions Welcome)

Special guests: Meredith Hagedorn and Shelley Johnson. Meredith Hagedorn
has been a professional actor, teacher and coach for all ages in
Atlanta, Los Angeles, and now the Bay Area. She is the executive
producer for the nonprofit professional theatre company Dragon
Productions based in Palo Alto. She currently teaches acting classes in
Palo Alto. Shelley Johnson has been coaching singers professionally for
seven years. She has presented workshops on Acting for Singers and
auditioning at many local colleges. In addition to performing and
directing, she works privately and collaborates with voice teachers as
an acting coach for singers, where she coaches singers on specific roles
as well as concert and audition preparation.

Location: TheatreWorks Rehearsal Space, 1940 Colony Street (at
Rengstorff), Mountain View. Register before: November 28. Cost to
participate: $35 members/$50 nonmembers. Cost to observe: $15
members/$30 nonmembers.
