Hello everyone. I needed to send this notice for auditions out again because we would like more men AND women to sign up to audition. It's a REALLY great piece and we would like to do it justice. If you decide to try out for just one show for the rest of this year, make it this one because it will be an awesome experience! You get to eat pizzas every night!!!

THUGS Audition Notice
The Pigeon Players Theatre Company has selected THUGS, a mafia farce by Dave Tucker, to be to be this year’s new script in production. This comedy takes Shakespeare’s formulas of forbidden lovers, mistaken identities, and cross-dressing to a whole new level of funny! We will be holding additional auditions for this piece on Thursday, September 4th, and Monday, September 8th from 7 -10 PM. Callbacks are tentatively scheduled for Friday, September 12th from 7 –10 PM. Please make an appointment to audition by emailing evelyn@pigeonplayers.org

CAST OF CHARACTERS
Mama Risotto (F)- The owner of the local sidewalk cafe
Julia Cappucino (F)- Young girl who is in love with Romy
Romy Montecarlo (M)- The poetic Lover, in love with Julia
Gina Sartori (F)- Disguised as a man, her brother Anthony
Louie (M)- An unemployed thug
Vito (M)- another unemployed thug
Joey Testeroni (M)- disguised as Anthony Sartori, actually Gina's lover
Don Cappuccino (M)- a crime lord in Shady Groves, father of Julia
Don Montecarlo (M)- a crime lord in Shady Groves, father of Romy
The Shark (M)- an effeminate hit man
Auditions, rehearsals, and performances will be held at the Yerba Buena High School Theatre at 1855 Lucretia Avenue, San Jose, CA 95122 unless otherwise noted. Directions and maps are available at www.pigeonplayers.org.
Please bring a resume and a headshot (if you have one) to the audition. It is recommended that you make an appointment. If an appointment cannot be made, walk-ins are welcome until 8:30 PM. Please be prepared with a 2-3 minute comedic monologue. If you do not have one, you may cold read from the one we provide for you. This is a non-AEA project, and there is no pay.
Rehearsal and performance information
Rehearsals will be held from 7-10 PM most weekdays and possibly some weekends. Performance dates will be November 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd at 8 PM with matinee performances on November 16th and 23rd at 3 PM. There may be one weekday daytime performance.
