CA$H, Creative Assistance for the Small (Company) and Hungry (Artist)
has announced postmark deadlines for the first half of 2004. CA$H is a
grants program for Northern California professionally oriented theatre
and dance artists and small companies with budgets under $100,000. CA$H
is funded by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Irvine
Foundation and the San Francisco Hotel Tax Fund/Grants for the Arts.
Individual artist awards are for $1,500 and organizational grants are
for $2,500. Grants total $20,000 each round with postmark date of
Friday, May 14 for dance. The theatre deadline has passed for the
spring. A new deadline will be announced for the fall shortly.
Applications are available on-line at www.theatrebayarea.org. Or you can
send a SASE to Theatre Bay Area, ATTN: CA$H, 870 Market Street, Suite
375, San Francisco CA 94102.

You can also pick up applications at a workshop: Thursday, April 8,
2004, 7-8:15PM Application Workshop, 8:30 - 9:30 Peer Panel Training,
Dancers Group, 3252A 19th Street, San Francisco.

Workshops are broken into two parts: For the first 75 minutes we will be
discussing the application itself. After a 15 minute break we will be
training future peer panelists for up to1 hour. If you have any
questions about the CA$H program or about becoming a peer panelist,
