=E2=80=9CSleep Till Noon=E2=80=9D was adapted from Max Shulman=E2=80=99s com=
ic
novel by Douglas W. High. It tells the story of Harry
Riddle, a poor, simple boy who rises to middle class
affluence in the expanding suburbia of post-World War
II America. It crackles with the witty dialogue that
Shulman brought to his famous series of =E2=80=9CDobie Gillis=E2=80=9D
short stories. Other satirical novels by Shulman, such
as the military comedy =E2=80=9CRally Round the Flag, Boys!=E2=80=9D
and the political farce =E2=80=9CThe Feather Merchants=E2=80=9D have
been adapted as films.=20

SFFCT=E2=80=99s production of =E2=80=9CSleep Till Noon=E2=80=9D will require=
 a
cast of 8-10 men and 6-8 women, depending on how we
decide to multi-cast the dozens of roles available.

Please mark your calendar. Write or call to talk about
your participation in this and other future
productions.

The San Francisco Free Civic Theatre is a free adult
recreation program of the San Francisco Recreation and
Park Department. We utilize existing City facilities,
stock, equipment, support staff and venues to operate
a producing repertory company. SFFCT produces three or
four plays from September through May. All
participants are volunteers and all performances are
presented free of charge. Please see our website at
www.sffct.org for more.
