Hi friends. This is my first posting to this list, so I hope it is an
appropriate one.
I am currently in need of someone to "assist" me with a production of
The Odd Couple at the Pleasanton Playhouse. I'll be Directing the play,
and recently learned that their model for Stage Managers is to come in
pretty late in the rehearsal process, close to tech. I would love to
have someone in rehearsal with me doing the traditional duties of a
stage manager: Helping me set up for rehearsals, helping keep track of
schedules and cast member conflicts, taking down blocking, keeping track
of tech notes as they arrive, being on book when the time comes. That
sort of thing. As I understand it, you would NOT to fill the
performance duties of an SM, running tech rehearsals and calling the
show (unless you really want to, and that might be able to be arranged.)
Unfortunately, there isn't any money budgeted for this position, but I
thought I'd ask just the same if there was anyone out there, maybe
already in the East Bay, that would find this fun and good step to add
to the resume. If Pleasanton Playhouse is a place you've wanted to work
before, this might be a great way in the door.

as the documents are Word or PDF, attachments are OK. The sooner the
better.
