Hello,
The Renegade Theatre Experiment (www.renegadetheatre.com) will be
holding open auditions for "Macbeth" (by William Shakespeare, dir: Russell
Marcel) to be performed at the City Lights Theatre in downtown San Jose.
Seeking 9 men and 6 women, all roles available. Non-traditional casting -
all ethnicities encouraged to audition.
Witches (3f 20-40) - Must have dance experience, combat experience a plus.
Macbeth (m 30-50)
Lady Macbeth (f 25-45)
Duncan (m 35-60)
Malcolm (m 20-30)
MacDuff (m 25-40)
Banquo (m 25-40)
All other actors/actresses (18-40) to perform multiple roles.
Prepare one 1-2 minute monologue from Shakespeare. Monologues not to exceed
2 minutes. Possible call back to cold read from script. Please bring
headshot and resume. No pay. Non-AEA.
Auditions: 2/15/04 11:00AM-4:00PM. (Please be prepared to stay past your
scheduled appointment).
Rehearsals: 3/1-4/14 (weekday evenings) + 4/3 & 4/10 (Saturday days).
Performances: 04/15-04/17, 04/21-04/24, 04/29-05/1.
