Happy New Year!!!!
I know you guys are just itching for the new gossip!! Well, for starters the=
=20
Agent weekend just passed and I'm hearing LOTS of good news about our actors=
=20
getting in the doors of some pretty cool, very saucy representation...
For example, Pat Croke (who started out with Nancy without ANY acting=20
experience) is such a hot commodity that it looks like he is going to have h=
is PICK=20
of agents. And Allen Theosky Rowe just got signed last week by one of the=20
coolest boutique theatrical agents in Los Angeles. AND Jeff Francisco and I=20=
got=20
called in for and untitled Paramount Feature Film...and to plug some shamele=
ss=20
self promotion - I got a callback!!! Hee-hee...yup...all in just the last we=
ek.
And you know what the common thread is? We all started out in Nancy's daytim=
e=20
class...which because of a cancellation has ONE spot available for the=20
session that starts next week January 20th!!!=20
And if that isn't enough...we have ER's very own Kathy McGraw in our daytime=
=20
class...
I am SOOO unbelievably proud of our small mom and pop school. We may not hav=
e=20
saucy 3 color brochures...or a fancy location (of our own, at least) but wha=
t=20
we DO have is a kickin' teacher that KNOWS what she's talking about. Not onl=
y=20
does Nancy has such a good eye and a way of teaching us how to bring out the=
=20
magic in the scene, but she also teaches us about the business side of actin=
g.=20
I think that's one of the reasons her actors are so successful. Nancy tries=20
to prepare us for the reality of the industry and stacks the deck against us=
in=20
class, so that when we do go out into the "real" world, we know what to=20
expect.
If you have not yet heard about this class, it is specifically geared toward=
=20
the Film and TV acting and audition process.=A0 Its main focus is to teach=20
actors of all levels to learn how to analyze scripts and make the audition=20
successful without prior rehearsal with a scene partner, just as it would ha=
ppen in an=20
audition situation. As a student, you will be challenged to look at scripts=20
in a new way that will help you to identify with them and make them more rea=
l=20
for you.=A0 As you progress through the class, Nancy provides personalized=20
coaching to help you improve your audition skills.=A0 This is essential in t=
hat it=20
will help you to learn "How to get the job!"=A0 Nancy also provides career=20
counseling, self-marketing, and networking advice dealing with the "in's and=
out's" of=20
the Film and TV market.
So okay...ONE SPOT LEFT in the DAYTIME CLASS that starts JAN 20th...
So contact us before someone else gets your spot!!!=20
