Hey guys!
I just got back from an AWESOME week in LA, I went in for Strong Medicine an=
d=20
got a callback for the same role, as well as the premiere for the feature=20
film, "American Yearbook," which reps from Focus Films attended. We even had=
=20
Miramax calling the next day for a screener!=20
Special announcement as well about First Taker Yvonne Troung: she auditioned=
=A0=20
for a VAX TV show and made it to the finals...please show your support and=20
vote for her at: http://www.vaxtvshow.com/castingcall/votegirls.php
In the last couple of weeks we've had First Take students getting numerous=20
callbacks (Don Williams for a Hallmark movie, Kristin Burke for an untitled=20
horror feature film), as well as auditions (Jeff Francisco for Ordinary Mira=
cles,=20
me for Knights of Impossingworh Park) and a First Taker (Mia Simon) making i=
t=20
to the finals for an NATIONALLY televised acting competition for the Young a=
nd=20
the Restless. James Carraway also booked a GUEST STAR role on the HBO show=20
Carnivale this week! This is going to be one juicy episode (a little sick=20
too...no spoilers!!!, but that's what make it juicy, right?)=20
As they say, the proof is in the pudding....First Takers are WORKING because=
=20
the First Take Method WORKS!!!! We have a couple of classes coming up that=20
look like we'll be having some open spots (congrats to those that are making=
the=20
move to LA, btw) and we're looking for new students that want to become part=
=20
of the First Take family...and part of our success stories as well!
The classes that are coming up are:
San Francisco Day Class - Tuesdays, 2-5 starting July 6th
South Bay Afternoon Class -=A0 Thursdays, 4-7 starting July 8th
And if you aren't convinced, this is what top level people in the industry=20
say about Nancy:
>From Victoria Burrows, CSA "Lord of the Rings," "Castaway," "Hostage" :
"Nancy has been friendly with many casting directors, agents, and managers=20
over the year and has learned key things on marketing and promoting talent.=20=
She=20
does not feel it worth it to send talent in ... without being ready to=20
compete. She promotes the artist to be the best that they can be and then re=
fers them=20
for appropriate roles to CASTING..and so far, so good for our office...Nancy=
=20
has done acting, teaching, and managing and is an HONEST, SMART WOMAN. I see=
=20
how Nancy pushes her actors to engage an inner life and stretches her=20
students."
>From Paul Weber, CSA - "Jeremiah," "She Spies," "Species 2":
"I've been incredibly impressed with the quality of work of the students in=20
Nancy's class...from what I've seen in terms of the quality of students I th=
ink=20
that the level of work is extremely high."
And from her students:
"I have to be honest and say that I saw your ad a few years ago and wondered=
=20
if they could be true...In January of this year I decided to give your class=
es=20
a try...I realized that this was the class that I had been looking for my=20
entire career. Nancy, I love that you never let us rest on our laurels. You=20
constantly challenge us and you are tireless. Every actor should be blessed=20=
to have=20
a coach who cares so much."

=20
toward the Film and TV acting and audition process.=A0 Its main focus is to=20

rove=20
your audition skills.=A0 This is essential in that it will help you to learn=
"How=20
to get the job!"=A0( career counseling, self-marketing, and networking advic=
e=20
