Just want to let you all know about these awesome classes coming up at AATC!

Asian American Theater Company Proudly Announces Its Courses for Spring 2004!

Power Acting
with Mitzie Abe
Actors of all levels are invited to apply for this 8 week course, meeting 
2.5-hours each week. Instruction will combine vocal technique and intensive scene 
study in a unique teaching formula designed by renowned actress Mitzie Abe. 
Breathing exercises, diction exercises, physical alignment, Alexander 
technique, improvisation work, and character study are featured components of the 
program. The combined effect of this work should result in enhancing the students' 
physical and vocal presence on stage - no matter what level of experience.
Class size limited to 12 students. Final meeting of the class will be a 
mini-showcase for friends and family. 
Dates: April 17, 2004 - June 5, 2004
Time: Saturdays, 10:30AM - 1PM

Location: Noh Space, 2840 Mariposa Street, San Francisco

Power Playwriting 
with Jeannie Barroga

This 8 week course, meeting 2-hours each week, is aimed at playwrights of all 
levels looking for instruction on turning creative writing into powerful 
works of theater. Taught by renowned playwright, Jeannie Barroga (Walls, Talk 
Story), this class will take you through the steps from storyboard and character 
development to seaming together dialogue and plot lines. Limited to 10-12 
people, classes will feature both lecture and hands-on application. Class will 
culminate in a public reading of selected scenes from each student.

Dates: April 7, 2004 - May 26, 2004
Time: Wednesdays, 7PM-9PM
