Ever wonder why First Take actors are so successful? Not only do we have a
KICK-arse teacher in acting, but she teaches the ins and out of the business
side of things as well!

Hey guys -
Once a year, Nancy puts on a rock-on class about the business of show
business. And it's that time of the year!!!
I actually met Nancy for the first time at a Take Action class and I was
amazed at the insight and in depth information she provided. The class is geared
towards making the transistion from San Francisco to the LA market - and since
that first class I've seen First Take students putting the business techniques
she teaches into action and making the transistion successfully.
Knowing that it takes more than just good acting to succeed in TV and film,
Take Action was developed by Nancy as a single 3 hour class that focuses on the
business aspect of breaking into the entertainment industry. It's a
comfortable and friendly environment that informs actors on what they need in terms of
acting skill as well as business knowledge. The class also dispels myths and
answers questions about the industry and it teaches actors how to gain
effective exposure.
Nancy covers topics such as evaluating your competitive level, getting good
head-shots, constructing an effective resume, preparing for auditions and
getting into them, developing industry contacts, staying visible, making a reel,
getting an agent, and a host of others. In the class, Nancy can answer the
questions that you have as well as help you begin planning your next necessary
step. For established and experienced actors, Take Action is a great way to find
new avenues to explore when you're not sure where the next turn to take is. For
newer actors, this class is a perfect start to head in the right direction
for you career.
The class takes place in San Francisco on Monday evening, May 24th, from 7-10
