New First Take Gossip: Congrats to Kristen Burke who is going down to LA to
read for the LEAD role in a feature film on Monday and to Mia Simon for being
called in to read for "The Young and the Restless."

And the announcement: the San Francisco Tuesday Night Class (7-10) looks like
it may have 2 spots avilable for the session beginning June 8th...

And in case you didn't know what top level people in the industry have said
about Nancy:

>From Victoria Burrows, CSA "Lord of the Rings," "Castaway," "Hostage" :

"Nancy has been friendly with many casting directors, agents, and managers
over the year and has learned key things on marketing and promoting talent. She
does not feel it worth it to send talent in ... without being ready to
compete. She promotes the artist to be the best that they can be and then refers them
for appropriate roles to CASTING..and so far, so good for our office...Nancy
has done acting, teaching, and managing and is an HONEST, SMART WOMAN. I see
how Nancy pushes her actors to engage an inner life and stretches her students."

>From Paul Weber, CSA - "Jeremiah," "She Spies," "Species 2":

"I've been incredibly impressed with the quality of work of the students in
Nancy's class...from what I've seen in terms of the quality of students I think
that the level of work is extremely high."

And from her students:

"I have to be honest and say that I saw your ad a few years ago and wondered
if they could be true...In January of this year I decided to give your classes
a try...I realized that this was the class that I had been looking for my
entire career. Nancy, I love that you never let us rest on our laurels. You
constantly challenge us and you are tireless. Every actor should be blessed to have
a coach who cares so much."

Jan Haley Soule - recurring/"Passions"

If you have not yet heard about our Film/Tv class, it is specifically geared
toward the Film and TV acting and audition process. Its main focus is to
teach actors of all levels to learn how to analyze scripts and make the audition
successful without prior rehearsal with a scene partner, just as it would
happen in an audition situation.

As a student, you will be challenged to look at scripts in a new way that
will help you to identify with them and make them more real for you. As you
progress through the class, we provide personalized coaching to help you improve
your audition skills. This is essential in that it will help you to learn "How
to get the job!" ( career counseling, self-marketing, and networking advice
dealing with the "in's and out's" of the Film and TV market ). You may be asked
to audition for a spot in the class if you aren't a returning student or if
we aren't familiar with your work.

So if you are thinking about taking one of our classes or you want to come in
and audit a class, please contact me!

:-),
Giovannie Pico
