PRINCE GOMOLVILAS
November 8 December 1 (Mon. & Wed. evenings 4 weeks x 2)
FUNDAMENTALS OF PLAYWRITING
Award-winning playwright Prince Gomolvilas, whose plays have been produced from San Franciscos New Conservatory to Singapore, invites you to take your neophyte status and beginner's luck out of the house and into the classroom for a playwriting workshop that covers the basic building blocks of playwriting. Why flail alone when you can do so with the support of a group? Put pen to paper with fun writing exercises that will ultimately reveal how fundamental elements like monologue, dialogue, and setting reveal character, plot, tone, and structure. If you've always wanted to write The Great American Play, or if you're interested in crossing over from another writing genre, or if you already write plays, but you want to go back to basics, then this workshop is for you!
DATES Mondays and Wednesdays starting November 8 (November 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and December 1) from 6.30 to 9.30 pm @ the Z space (131~10th Street, 3rd floor, San Francisco)
PRICE $285 per student (12 students maximum, partial scholarship and payment plan available)
