Hey Everyone!!!

Check this out: Nancy just made the announcement of our next weekend guest i=

class this week and it'll be none other than her cousin, Mary Jo Slater, the=

super famous casting director and mother of movie star Christian Slater!!!=20
She's coming up on the weekend of November 6th and 7th.=20

She's never been up to teach a class for Nancy before, but she's been hearin=
g=20
through the grapevine how awesome the weekend experience is and all the cool=
=20
accolades that other A-List CD's are giving about First Take actors and she'=
s=20
itching to get up here too and share her knowledge with us!!!

If you don't know who Mary Jo Slater is (I knew of her even before I met=20
Nancy -- and I wasn't even an actor then!!!), she's worked on LITERALLY hund=

of movies and tv shows. If you want a complete list, I would go to the inter=

She was also nominated for an Emmy this year-woo-hoo!

I think it's a smart move to learn about the in ands outs and the "what are=20
they looking for's" right from the horse's mouth, from the movers and the=20
shakers that are actually working in the industry...that way you get first h=

knowledge.

With all this experience in casting, Mary Jo brings an even deeper knowledge=

of what is needed in casting situations and is able to teach more effectivel=

acting technique as well as the business aspect of the industry. And so the=20
weekend will offer a wide range of things that are so important to actors th=

are even considering getting competitive and working. The morning sessions w=
