Audition Schedule

Adult Auditions - 17 years and older: =20
Please attend the Adult Auditions on May 5 and 6, 2005.  If auditioning =
for Ensemble roles, Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion (US) - please attend the =
appropriate Open Dance Call.  All other roles, please schedule a vocal =
appointment.  Bring music and come prepared to sing at the Dance Call.  =
Prepare one Broadway song, bring sheet music, headshot and resume.  =

Height requirement for Dorothy is less than 5'2", ages 11 - 16.  Each =
performer will be scheduled for a 3-minute time slot.  Dorothy =
Auditioners will also be considered for the Children's Ensemble.  =
Prepare Over The Rainbow, bring sheet music and a photo and resume. =20

Friday May 13, 2005, Children Ensemble:=20
5:00pm		Registration Open
6:00pm		Auditions Begins
Children between the ages of 8-16, please attend the Children Auditions. =
 Registration for these auditions will begin at 5pm the day of =
auditions.  Each Child will be scheduled that day for a 3-minute time =
slot.  Please prepare one song, bring sheet music and a photo and =

Character Descriptions
Dorothy Gale:  Dreamer with spunk and energy.  Innocent, strong willed =
with vivid imagination.  Excellent voice.  Age:  Pre-teen.  Range:  low =
G to high E in staff.  Max Height: 5'2"=20

Glinda/ Aunt Em (Understudy Only) Non-nonsense, generous and caring.  =
Age: 35 - 60  Range:  Soprano

Wicked Witch/ Ms. Gulch (Understudy Only):  The antithesis of Glinda; =
evil, conniving.  Age:  35-60.  Prepare one monologue or song

Uncle Henry/ Winkie General:  Upright, hard-working, stoic farm man.  =
Non-singer.  Age:  50+  Prepare one monologue or song

Wizard of Oz/ Wizard Guard/ Prof. Marvel:  Charming older man.  Grand =
and larger than life. Does not need to be strong singer.   Age: 50+.  =
Prepare one monologue or song

Scarecrow/ Hunk:  Agile, loose-limbed physical comedian.  Range:  B flat =
to high A flat. =20

TinMan/ Hickory:  Comedic straight man.  Range:  B to high A

Cowardly Lion/ Zeke (Understudy Only) Loveable and cuddly, with a big =
solid build.  Fantastic stage presence.  Range: B flat to High F

Adult Ensemble:  Strong singers and dancers to play Poppies, Jitterbugs, =
Ozians, Apple Trees, Crows, Winkies, and featured roles

Children Ensemble:  Energetic dancers and singers to play Poppies, =
Ozians, Munchkins, Monkeys

Callbacks
Adult callbacks will be held Saturday May 7, 2005.  Children Callbacks =
will be held on Saturday May 14, 2005.  Please come to callbacks =
prepared to dance and sing.  You may be asked to do a cold reading.
