Part-Time Marketing Manager (contract position)
Aurora Theatre Company, a million dollar not-for-profit professional theatre
company, is seeking a temporary Marketing Manager to work 20 hours per week
from March - June 2005 with a possibility of extension and/or permanent
hire.
The Part-Time Marketing Manager's goal is to support Aurora Theatre
Company's audience development initiatives, both in single ticket sales and
subscription.
The Marketing Manager reports directly to the Managing Director for approval
of all implemented programs and campaigns, but is expected to generate the
ideas and strategy for such campaigns independently.
Specific areas of focus include:
--Creating and maintaining a marketing plan and budget
--Implementing, tracking, and evaluating advertising and promotions
--Working with Graphic Designer to develop visual marketing materials
--Writing copy for the marketing materials and Aura newsletter
--Ensuring implementation of Marketing materials, including printing and
distribution of brochures, postcards and posters, and electronic formatting
and distribution of e-newsletters
--Developing relationships with local media, businesses, colleges and other
organizations
--Developing, maintaining, and researching new vendor opportunities in order
to maximize Aurora's budgetary requirements
Requirements:
--Enthusiasm for theatre
--Previous work experience in the arts & entertainment field and marketing
--Samples of marketing materials you have developed available for review
--Enjoys working in a highly collaborative and flexible environment
