2 Stage Managers

1 House Manager

All positions are paid.

We have a great summer ahead of us with our first year of doing two
shows in repertory style, with alternating performance nights.  We hope

Hiring Stage Manager - Outdoor Shakespeare - The Merry Wives of Windsor

The Stage Manager shall oversee the physical and technical aspects of
the production from the first production meeting through strike.  The
Stage Manager will work with the director and artists to provide the
company with appropriate guidance and resources to ensure the success of
the production.   An Assistant Stage Manager will be provided to assist
in the installation and operation of the production.

Auditions: March 28th - June 1 Evenings.

Rehearsals: Begin June 4th.  M-F Evenings.  Some weekends required
during technical rehearsals.

Show Dates: August 12th - September 18th.  

Strike: September 24th

Stipend: $300.00

Hiring Stage Manager - Outdoor Shakespeare - Measure for Measure

The Stage Manager shall oversee the physical and technical aspects of
the production from the first production meeting through strike.  The
Stage Manager will work with the director and artists to provide the
company with appropriate guidance and resources to ensure the success of
the production.   An Assistant Stage Manager will be provided to assist
in the installation and operation of the production.

Set - The Merry Wives of Windsor and Measure for Measure

The Scenic Designer shall see two shows through the design, development,
and implementation of a complete and integrated scenic design
appropriate to the vision of the shows within a set budget.  A Scenic
Artist and a Technical Director will be provided to assist the Designer
in implementation.  A  scenic design will include but not be limited to:
a concept, scale floor plan, color and image renderings or models,
materials inventory, orchestration of material procurement and
installation, crew management, and instruction to the stage manager.  A
set will include a full visual picture and functional space including
all wall hangings, lighting practicals, furniture, draperies, masking,
flooring, and dressing rooms. Please note:  designer must be willing to
work within the confines of a basic physical structure which has already
been built.  

Rehearsals: Begin June 4th. 

Show Dates: August 12th - September 18th.  

Strike: September 24th

Stipend: $500.00

Hiring Lighting Designer - Outdoor Shakespeare - Two Productions -
Single Lighting Rig - The Merry Wives of Windsor and Measure for Measure

The Lighting Designer will see both shows through the design,
development, and implementation of a complete lighting design
appropriate to the vision of the shows within a set budget.  A Master
Electrician/Light Board Operator will be provided to assist the Designer
in implementation.  A lighting design will consist of a concept,
complete light plot with electrical specifications and wiring diagram,
equipment inventory, orchestration of equipment procurement and
installation, crew management, color and image palette, production of
light cues, and instruction to the stage manager and light board
operator. Please note:  designer must be willing to work within the
confines of predetermined lighting positions and dimming and control
equipment .

Rehearsals: Begin June 4th. 

Show Dates: August 12th - September 18th.  

Strike: September 24th

Stipend: $500.00

Hiring Costume Designer - Outdoor Shakespeare - The Merry Wives of
Windsor

The Costume Designer will see one show through the design, development,
and implementation of a complete costume design and construction
appropriate to the vision of the shows and within a set budget.  An
Assistant Costumer and a minimum of two Stitchers will be provided to
assist the Designer in implementation.  A costume will include any and
all items worn by an actor to include, but not be limited to: special
under garments, clothing, head ware, gloves, jewelry, belts, scarves,
aprons, and accessories such as eye glasses and handbags.  Although
weapons are not considered costumes, sword belts will fall under the
purview of the costumer.

Rehearsals: Begin June 4th. 

Show Dates: August 12th - September 18th.  

Strike: September 24th

Stipend: $400.00

Hiring Audio Designer - Outdoor Shakespeare Two Productions - The Merry
Wives of Windsor and Measure for Measure

The Audio Designer will see two shows through the design, development,
and implementation of a complete audio design.  The Audio Designer will
work with the director and design staff to provide the company with a
design appropriate to the vision of the shows.  Audio design includes a
complete audio design will include any and all sound effects, recorded
music, sound reinforcement, communications, and instruction of the
execution of the design for the Audio Systems Operator who will be
provided to assist the designer in implementation.

Rehearsals: Begin June 4th. 

Show Dates: August 12th - September 18th.  

Strike: September 24th

Stipend: $400.00

Hiring Audio Operator - Outdoor Shakespeare Two Productions - The Merry
Wives of Windsor and Measure for Measure

The Operator will assist the Audio Designer to see two shows through the
design, development, and implementation of a complete audio design and
will operate all audio equipment during the run of the shows.

Show Dates: August 12th - September 18th.  

Strike: September 24th

Stipend: $125.00

Hiring House Manager - Outdoor Shakespeare Two Productions - The Merry
Wives of Windsor and Measure for Measure

The House Manager will oversee all audience related relations during the
run of the 2005 season.  This includes, but is not limited to,
maintaining relations with the park/facilities staff, managing
ushers/concessions volunteers, overseeing all parking and seating
related issues, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all patrons of
Shady Shakespeare.

Show Dates: August 12th - September 18th.  

Strike: September 24th

Stipend: $150.00
