lila theatre, a San Francisco based long-form improvisational theatre =
company is holding auditions for its 2005-2006 Resident Company.  We are =
searching for nine truthful, non-judgmental, vulnerable, intelligent, =
risk-taking, professional artists with extremely strong =
acting/improvisational skills that are excited to learn and work within =
lila theatre's unique style and vision.  Singing and writing ability are =
a plus.  If selected, actors will:

-         Be deeply committed and involved in an extremely wonderfully =
intense and close ensemble, contracted for 1 full year, February 7, 2005 =
- February 7, 2006.

-         Perform 1-2 times monthly in lila theatre's signature =
long-form improv show at various professional theatrical venues.  There =
will always be 4-5 performers per show.  This will require you to =
perform in 6-7 shows (negotiable).

-         Have additional monthly performance opportunities in lila =
theatre's experimental improv shows and jams.

-         Split the net profits of each show's cast and crew (maximum of =
$50 per show).

-         Receive free classes at the lila theatre training center - =
Long-form Improvisation, Musical Improvisation, etc ($120 value per =
monthly class). =20

-         Receive discounted rental rates at lila theatre's new theater =
space.

-         Attend all classes (Monday nights 7pm-9:30pm) and rehearsals =
(Thursday nights 6:30pm-9:30pm) for each month he/she is performing - =
Festival performances will count as shows.

-         Attend 3 weekend retreats during the year that all 9 actors =
will be required to attend.  These will be scheduled upon all members' =
availability.

-         Participate in various improv theatre festivals across the =
country/world.

Preparation

Please prepare one minute of ANYTHING!

Again, remember in preparing, we are looking for truthful, =
non-judgmental, vulnerable, intelligent, risk-taking, professional =
artists!  Could be scripted or improvised, movement piece or song.  =
Possibilities are endless!!  Please stick to one minute.  This is an =
opportunity for us to see YOU!  We will also have a group improv =
segment, vulnerability session, interviews, and a musical improv jam.  =
Wear clothes you will feel comfortable moving in, come warm and ready to =
play.=20
