Shady Shakespeare Announces Auditions for our 2005 Season
The Merry Wives of Windsor and Measure for Measure
We are expanding to a two show season this summer with productions
performing in repertory with each other, alternating performance nights.
All actors cast will perform in both shows as part of the repertory
season.  

We are looking for the following:
Male ages 10-12 and 18-70
Female ages 18-70
All actors should feel comfortable singing
No prior Shakespeare experience necessary
Actors/singers of all ethnicities are encouraged to audition

Audition Information:
Auditions: March 28-29, 6:30-9:30pm
Callbacks: Merry Wives - March 31, 6:30-9:30pm; Measure for Measure -
April 2, 12-3pm

Audition location: West Valley College, 14000 Fruitvale Avenue, Saratoga
There is a $2 parking fee (quarters only) at the college.

Auditions will be scheduled in half hour increments.  When requesting an
audition slot, please indicate which half hour window you would like to
be in for your audition.
Please prepare one comic and one dramatic Shakespeare monologue, not to
exceed 4 minutes in total.  Bring a headshot/picture, a resume, and your
calendar.  
Non-AEA only.  There is a stipend for actors. 

Rehearsal / Performance Information:
Rehearsals start: June 4th
Rehearsal location: TBA

Performances: Friday-Sunday, 7pm, August 12th -September 19th
Performing at: Sanborn-Skyline County Park Outdoor Theatre; Saratoga, CA
